OH! The fire’s started heart-beats burning-red HOLD IT! Steady your aim I’m not into playing games But I’ll play what you’re playing And I’ll stay —- for a while Revenge and sexual tension What a perfect situation A couple of lonely fools And one of us is the pawn But I turn a blind eye —- Because I’m under your spell.
3.
Opened up Opened up Opened up Take the damn thing out They taped you shut They taped you shut They taped you shut But, was it enough? God gave me something to work with This thing between my legs Oh golly gee, a girl with a purpose “And she’s throwing it away She’ll never get married this way” They shut you up They shut you up They shut you up But, enough is enough What makes you ill will kill the maternal clock inside you You’ve had your fill And you’ll never let another man inside you There’s nothing there There’s nothing left Besides you
4.
Everyone’s watching Just waiting… And watching you, and the clock that doesn’t exist Puppets and zombies Electro-convoluted Pills for the bodies that ache (Bodies that ache) Legs are a’shaking Hands clasped, knuckles white All of you can go fuck off with your feelings Rush of blood Fire in the brain ———- Who’s really the enemy When we’re all just mice in lab coats Selling each other out Trying not to blow your own disguise Well, I made a wrong turn at the end of the tunnel So, I guess I’ll meet you at the borderline. Legs are a’shaking Hands clasped, knuckles white All of you can go fuck off with your feelings Rush of blood Fire in the brain. I’ll meet you at the borderline.

Sleight of hand Sleight of mouth Psychosis, hypnotosis Your agenda hidden behind blue eyes There’s nothing to see here There’s nothing to say There’s nothing to see here Just kiss me Plant the bomb Set the timer Watch me explode Watch me explode This means war! My dear, I do declare I’ve read all your letters I can see between the lines We’re out for blood Your teeth cut straight to the bone With all you’ve said and done You’re just afraid to be alone Feline in a human coat Snake in the fucking grass She’s leaving on a jet-plane So, run, Lola, run… This means war… My dear, I do declare This means war… My dear, I do declare There’s nothing to see here There’s nothing to say There’s nothing to see here Just kiss me Plant the bomb Set the timer Watch me explode Watch me explode This means war…

I am solid as a rock embedded on the shoreline Beauty comes to life, where something else has died This is your bed - in which you lie You fit the mold that has hardened around you (around you) Like a lion sinks into it’s prey The Hunter and the hunted Postscript! This jungle ain’t big enough for the both of us The hustle and bustle of the city we dream has become unsettling No longer romanticizing over idiosyncratic things And lusting after unattainable flings Like a lion sinks into it’s prey The Hunter and the hunted Postscript! This jungle ain’t big enough for the both of us

about

I wanted to write an album where the words were the focus, and the music told the story underneath. I found myself writing poems, more than lyrics, and things weren't clicking. I eventually decided that putting poetry to music might be a cool idea, and so I tried it with "Stanton", and then a few others and it all finally clicked. Along with the study of poetry vs lyric, I started to experiment with my vocal ability. It wasn't about nailing it, as much as it was about expressing my emotion through the sound of my voice. -- By the end of Summer 2010, I had completed an entire album full of viva voce.

This is just a taste of what's to come.
